Volume Restoration Treatments
During your appointment with Angela, a thorough assessment will be performed to understand your goals. A personalised treatment plan will then be created. All options, including prescription-only treatments if appropriate, will be discussed in line with TGA regulations
As we age, the natural fullness of the face can decrease, leading to hollow or sunken areas and changes in facial shape. Volume restoration treatments are designed to help support the skin and restore balance to the face for a refreshed appearance.

MOST- ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does it last?
This depends on which product is used. Generally the product can last anywhere between 9 months to two years. Larger areas such as the cheeks a highly robust product is used which lasts about two years whereas a lighter product for an area such as the lips will last approximately 9 -12 months. We only use the best products to ensure the most natural and long lasting results.
Is it safe?
Yes. The product is made from a sugar that naturally occurs in the matrix of our skin. It is this sugar that gives our skin its volume. Allergic reaction is extremely rare.
Are there any side effects?
As with any medical treatment there are some general side effects -bruising, swelling, redness and infection may occur, however infection is very rare. Very rare also is necrosis of the skin, migration of the product to another area. Lumps may be felt under the skin however these usually resolve within a week or two after the treatment has settled.
Is there anything I can do to prevent bruising?
No matter how careful and gentle we can be, sometimes bruising is hard to avoid because your face is highly vascular. There are a few things you can do beforehand to minimise the chance of bruising.
Avoid drinking alcohol before and after the treatment.
Avoid taking aspirin, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, Anti-inflammatories (Nurofen) and fish oil for 3 days before the treatment. Seek advice from your dr before ceasing blood thinners such as warfarin or Plavix.
A herbal preparation called arnica which is available from most pharmacies can be taken before and after the treatment. It is available in tablet, sublingual and topical cream preparations.
Can treatment be reversed?
Yes. If for some reason you don’t like the treatment then it can be dissolved.
